A while ago I was playing around listening to different frequencies, played too high of frequencies too loud through a pair of Polk TSi 100s and messed them both up. Pretty stupid, and they didn't sound the same after that. Depending on the cost of parts I'm interested in taking them apart, if possible repairing them and maybe upgrading other hardware in there which I never would have done otherwise.

What do any of you say about that possibility?

So you blew the tweeters? Just get new tweeters from Polk and you should be OK.

It is not worth going to any more trouble than that with Polk speakers.
