A TV shop owner in my town told me I was pretty much out of luck even with an extended warranty if I go with the cheap TV from Costco instead of one of his Sony models, because they are impossible to get fixed due to parts availability. My theory is even if the Vizio 46 breaks I only have 1/2 the money invested that a Sony 46 would set me back so I could buy another one and break even heheh.
