my remote uses a serial cable to connect to my PC (a standard 9 pin female plug). i can buy a USB adapter. i have the serial port on my PC and a USB port. but, my question is....if i buy the usb/serial adapter plug, will that speed up the downloads from my PC to my remote or is the serial/usb adapter going to move at the same speed as a direct serial connection?
