I am looking to enter into a more automated system for my home theater and whole home. To begin I am looking to control my home theater but it will evolve into a whole home control as budget allows. This is not only a personal reason, I have also done a few home theaters in the past couple years for clients (nothing fancy) and would like to be able to advise on a more comprehensive system for customers that would like the options.
I have seen people in these forums mention URC and their virtues. I live in Canada and URC is more difficult to get. A more seemingly popular option is the Control 4 system.
At this point I am leaning towards testing out a Control 4 system due mostly to availability. Are there any important flags that I should know about concerning either option. Or maybe a different option that I haven't mentioned?
Any help would be appreciated.
