Relative newbie question!

<font color='#000000'>I have a NAD T763 6.1 receiver. It has preouts for 7 channels. I happen to have a Carver 2 channel amp kicking around the house.

If i want to power a sixth or 7th speaker, do i use the Carver's mainouts to the NAD's surround back L/R preouts?</font>

<font color='#000000'>Yes you can. &nbsp;That's what those pre-outs are for. &nbsp;They expect a power amp. &nbsp;Either 3 or more stereo amps or 1 multichannel power amp.</font>
