Anyone have any experience with them? I've been looking at their R series. From what I've read they are quite good. Just looking for some feedback from any REL owners.

rel subs

While I do not own a Rel subwoofer I have demo the Rel sub on a couple of occasions. Currently I own a Definitive PF1500 subwoofer and I am in the market for a new sub primarly because my PF1500 takes up a lot of real estate.
The Rel sub is an awesome subwoofer! Perhaps the best on the market. However listening to the Definitive super cube 1 and the paradigm seismic 12 I do not think that the price is worth the bang for your buck.
Of course if money is not a obstacle then it is a good buy.
I am leaning towards the Definitive SC1 not because I am saving a lot of money but because I had not noticed any dramatic reason to spend more money for a sub that does not accent the value and reason to spend more.

While I have not given you a technical answer, it may make you ask the question, How much money do I really have to spend without sacrificing quality.

Rel has the reputation for making THE best subwoofer. It's like shopping for a car, you can go with a plain vanilla Camry, or you can go for a Mercedes. Personally, if money were no object, I would definitely go for a Rel, it'll last you a long time.
