I am currently overseas and have decided to pick up a few movies to maintain my language skills and for my children. There are a number of sites online offering many different options. I was wondering if anyone had an recommendations or experience purchasing code-free DVD players and if there is anything I should look out for. Not looking to spend more than around $200.

Pioneer DV-578A-S Jumped out at me because of it's SACD and DVD-A capabilities. Thanks for any input...I do not currently have a multi-system TV....just NTSC.

I bought a Pioneer DVD player from Amazon UK which was multi-region and haven't had any major problems. The manufacturer's warranty is usually invalidated when a player is modified, but Amazon offer a replacement warranty.

The only problem I've had is trying to play NTSC DVD's in RGB mode on my television, which couldn't accept the signal.
