Refurbished Receiver?

I was checking for my parents to see if anyone knew of any good deal on some refurbished recivers? They dont have alot of money so i was going to see about this and they might be able to get something a bit nicer for a bit less. Thank you :Kirk

I've heard dakmart.com being mentioned for refurbished Denon receivers. I haven't used them myself. You can often find some interesting closeouts on Audio Advisor. I bought a NAD T744 for my bedroom from them.

Before buying anything, I would do some Google searches to see what sort of luck people are having with your choices. I've heard mixed reviews on refurbished Onkyos. Some people have no problems, others have nothing but.

I'll second that Accessories4less recommendation. I've purchased several refurbs from them, all with full factory warranties.

I'm using 2 refurb Onkyo receivers that I bought from shoponkyo.com and have had no issues. They have good sales occasionally that can save you even more if you're patient. My 506 does run hot (even at low levels in my bedroom).

I also have a refurb Marantz 4001 that I got from a4less that has worked flawlessly. No auto-cal but accepts audio over HDMI and runs ice cold. If you by the receiver from a reputable source (like the ones listed on this thread) you should have no issues.

I third A4less. They are great folks. I suggest a 705 for anyone that can buy one. I miss that receiver so much.

ecost.com has refurbed denon receivers for great prices, my parents got one from there and I couldn't tell it wasn't new, except for the packaging, it works great and hasn't given them any problems.

Thanks everyone we went with Accessories4less and got a Martinze Sr6003 looks like a good unit and has good reviews.
