The boss just got me a couple pairs of blu ray glasses for the panny, but its sounding like I may have to buy a 3d compatible blu ray player as well. Could you guys suggest a couple of the best 3d blu ray titles out there for me to see if I like it enough to want to keep the glasses and the player? If its not up to par I will be taking the player and glasses back. I do not have anywhere here where I can demo 3d on my display... closest place would cost me about as much as the blu ray player to go demo.

Avengers is the only one I've watched, it was on par as the theater version was, to me atleast. I us a Samsung TV, bluesy player, and glasses. I would probably go with a Panny bluray player with your setup.

Despicable Me is the best disc out there period; not cheap, but worth it. Finding Nemo and Coraline were also quite impressive. Prometheus, Avengers and Underworld Evolution, Tron Evolution were all very fun.

Hugo was awesome. I felt I could grab the snow.

One of the best movies I've ever seen in 3d was Beowulf back when 3d was not the norm in theaters. I have it on hd DVD. Wish they would do. 3d blu.

The hobbit in hfr is now the best 3d ever. IMO

To the op, get the oppo 103

Ok, so I downloaded a few bit for bit 3d blu ray .iso files, mounted them to virtual drive using daemon tools, and played them on powerdvd to see how I'd like them before shelling out the cash for the blu ray player... I have to say I am pretty underwhelmed. Just lose so much pq detail to make the objects that pop every once in a while not worth it. Some day I think it could be really cool, it just isn't there yet for me.

Do you think if I'm not overly excited about viewing the content in the above manor that playing the content through a 3d capable blu ray would make it any better?
