red screen problem

just hooked up my dvd player to my plasma and it's all RED - I re-checked everything and I can't figure it out - thoughts?

Are you using 3 video cables for a component input? If so, you may want to swap them around to see if the other two cables are indeed defective, an outside chance.
Or your hookup is incorrect? Need more info?
