just bought the non-premium edition last night

the main differences are:
-posters of the girls in the movie
-audio sound track
-bloopers

i'm just playing through the tutorials, it looks a bit cartoony - but i'll fiddle with the settings after this post.

changing from medium to high in the graphics settings made it choppy.

i have 1 gig ram, 512 vid mem and i forgot what my processor is ... im going to buy some more ram and see if that helps.

looking forward to:
-macross type (jet fighter-robot) units on the japanese side
-giant robots on the japanese side

my 2 year old PC specs: (showing its age with this game)
1gig ram
7600 512mb vid card
core 2 duo 2.13ghz

'high' graphics setting was ultra choppy.

i added 2 gigs to my 1 gig ram - the load time for the game was cut by 60-75%
but i discovered that there was an 'ultra high' graphics setting

tried that and it was still very choppy. lowered to just 'high', better than before, but still choppy. damn.

now researching vid cards.
