Recording on a denon 3600 AVR

I am trying to figure out how to record vinyl records through my denon 3600 via my computer.

issues: No record out on unit. No obvious Line out.

There are gobs of pre-outs, but all of those (???) would pick up processing. There is zone 2 preouts, and I am wondering if those are line outs sans processing? And would there be any issues capturing on my computer via the computer input jacks?

The manual does not show specs on the pre-outs for the AVR nor does it label the zone 2 pre outs as line outs. Hence the question are they line outs?

There are hdmi outs but have not figured out how to go about recording just audio from them, and I would guess they have processing even if I could use them.

I do have any older model onkyo 808 which has zone 2 and zone 3 RCA jack labeled line outs, I can use if need be, but trying to work this out with my current AVR.

Does your computer have a decent ADC? Might look into an ART Phono Plus....what I got for such.

Zone 2 is a line output with no processing. It’s essentially the same as a record out. Check the manual, if it says the phono output feeds to the Zone 2 outputs, you’re in business.

You can also use the pre out, but be careful with the volume.
