Recommended Projector for AU$4500

Im looking for a projector with screen, cables, ceiling mount and possibly HD set top box for AU$4500 had a few quotes and also had my head filled with alot of info both good and bad from SALES REPS! IM from WA so there is not too much help from here that I have found yet. With searching on the net I heard the Infocus 4805 which I can get installed for $4200 witn 96" screen and HD set top box is good for its price or the Optoma H31 which I havnt veiwed Ive only seen the H27 for $3000 and now I have heard of the LG RD-JT92. My room is 6 meters long and light controlled please help.

cezza you did not mention whether you were looking at LCD or DLP, the AE700E and Sanyo Z3 can be had for around 3k or just under at www.ausmedia.com.au - they are in Melbourne but deliver Oz wide. They will throw in a screen technics 96" for AUD700 as well. I believe they have also taken on the infocus range as well. Remember that the Infocus 4805 is rather low in res with 480 line resolution, if you are looking at the matterhorn 576 line chip have a look at the mitsubishi HC900 at www.penhometheatre.com.au
at around AUD3699, they have some good deals on at the mo with screen technics 96" as well. Not sure how much the HD STBs are there but I am sure both will do u a deal. If you can stretch the budget a bit more Benq have a new 720p DLP PE7700 coming out in June RRP AUD5k. Should outperform all of the above and you might get your deal for around 5.5k???

Im not certain how Australian $ converts into US $, but along the lines of what Vieira4 is thinking I would say maybe you should put all of your budget into the projector for now, use a wall, then later get a screen.

There are several good non-HD native resolution DLPs in the US $1k range and there are a couple of very good HD native resolution DLPs you can probably get for $2.5kish, one namely is the Sharp XV-Z2000.
