Hello all,
I have a home theater set up in a quirky basement space.

(can't post images yet, please replace the *** with "com." maybe somebody can post them up?)
Rear wall is brick, the two others are concrete over brick and the wall by the stairs is drywall. That shelf wall is cinder block over dirt with a wood top (it's a footer for the structure, so no easy way to take it out). Unsurprisingly, the room has pretty ugly acoustics. Vocal range is overly bright and the bass is an absolute mess (some frequencies are boomy, some are non-existent).
I have 8 2'x4'x4" open-backed ATS Acoustics panels being shipped to me right now. Does anybody have recommendations on placement? I think I will place them across the two open corners, one on the first reflection point on the near wall, one behind the listening position on the brick wall and the remaining panels spaced evenly on the other walls.
