I've narrowed it down to these 2. Help me decide. They are both impossible to find locally, (NE OH). I need 7.1 analog out and a good picture.

The BD80 is the bare bones unit for what you want. It will do exactly what you state, but the LG is more desirable to many as it is feature laden, particularly the streaming suite. If you are the audiophile that enjoys the mch music formats, then Oppo starts entering the picture. If you don't mind spending the money, you will probably enjoy the LG more. If it was me, I'd just save and get the Pana, because I don't care about streaming.

You want all the streaming via wifi, get the LG. If not, the BD80 can be had for a lot less.

The panasonic for sure, my vote goes for it since it comes with 7.1-channel analogue audio outputs, and supports USB and SD card slots.

If you are only after 7.1 analog out and a good picture but cannot find either, see if you can find the Pioneer BD-320 or the Elite BDP-23FD.

Maybe better wait for the newer players coming soon... with 3D capability, HDMI v.1.4, 250gb hard drive, etc.

* But if you cannot wait, I'll say it's pretty much a toss up between these two.
