I just setup my new system and I have afew questions. I have a Onkyo txsr876 and Im using a ps3 for my blue ray source. I also have a sony 46z4100 for a tv. Im using hdmi cables from the ps3 to the reciever then to the tv. For the best possible sound do I set the ps3 audio out to bitstream or pcm? I cant seem to get any better than dolby ex on my reciever, or i just dont know how to select a better option. I currently run 5.1. Also I need some help on cross over settings. I have paradigm monitor 11s, cc290 center and polk rt65i rears. My sub is a svs pc12-nsd. Where should I have the speakers cut off at and where should the sub be crossed over at? Is there a menue on the 876 to have it manually select the best decoding depending on the disc being played? Or maybe the best I can get with my setup is dolby ex? Any help would be great.
