Reciever DVI question

I am new here and have to say this is a great source for information, Thanks AudioHolics!!
With that out of the way I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a question.
I am in the market for a new Home Theater Receiver but would like to find one with DVI output so I only have to run the one cable to my Plasma from the receiver and have less junk in the wall. I think I only have seen one Receivers with this and it was ultra high end.
Does anyone have any insight when this feature will become more mainstream on receivers in the 1-2k range? I contacted Yamaha and got the official we don't comment on future hardware.

Thanks in advance..

I havn't seen any in the low-mid priced models. This is still a very hard item to find. You might also try looking for receivers that have HDMI input/output as I believe you can get a converter cable for this to connect to DVI (but you would lose the audio stream, but who really cares when you just want the video anyway).

The only models that I know of that have these features though are the Sony 10000ES and the new Onkyo TX-NR1000 (as well as the Onkyo Integra, and Integra Research models which are all affiliates of Onkyo). But these are all $3k-$4k+ receivers, pre/pro's.

I'm in the same situation and DVI/HDMI is an absolute must for my setup, but I have the budget to allow for it (been saving up for a couple years for this, so I am doing it right the first time and not need to replace everything in a year or two...).
