Does any of the common models allows manual parametric EQ, at least for the front channels?

Hawke, I hope this doesn't make me appear to be an idiot? But if I understand the question correctly my Denon 3805 allows you to do a manual eq of your system once you have gone thru the auto eq process. It has an adgustment range of +6db/-6db at 8 frequency points from memory. Steve M.

F F355 Guest Jul 17, 2004 #6 i dont know about its sound quality [JVC gets almost NO converage in forums] but this seems pretty impressive on paper. http://store.yahoo.com/lgdsuperstore/rxdvp9vbk.html the above mentioned unit might make a nice prepro, with enough juice to power a pair of side surrounds. [5 channel amp for the rest ] i'm sure there are cheaper ones. please post if you guys are aware. ohh yes, this one too... but i think its too old and discontinued. http://store.yahoo.com/lgdsuperstore/strda5es.html

Thanks for the pointers. Parametric EQ in both is pretty limited: 3 filter per channel limited to BASS / MEDIUM / TREBLE None of that will help with fine-tuning bass room response. I guess that the way to go is a true parametric the subwoofer line output(s)
