I got a Samsung FP-T5084 plasma tv for Christmas & now I'm in the process of upgrading my other equipment.
I had settled on the Onkyo 805 until I realized that it doesn't have advanced video processing capabilities & my new tv doesn't handle 3:2 pulldown correctly. (Thanks to jlahk for pointing me to

I've done some reading on this & still don't have a good handle on just how much improvement I will see using better video processing upstream of the tv. I also don't have a handle on what kind of money I'd need to spend on a separate video processor.
My current set of choices are:
1. Get the Onkyo 875 - it seems to be pretty widely held to have great video processing capabilities.
2. Get the Onkyo 805 & an outboard video processor.
3. Just get the Onkyo 805 & don't worry about 3:2 pulldown.
Any thoughts/comments on this?
Thanks,
David
