Nothing really special, although 3 component inputs is fairly uncommon at that price.

A Home Theater AV receiver is generally 5.1/6.1/or 7.1 channels, while a stereo receiver is 2 channels. These days, the vast majority of "AM/FM" receivers are multi-channel, 'cause that's what most people are buying.

A multi-channel receiver can play in stereo or even mono.
