receiver up converting...

i think sometime ill go buy a wii and i was wondering everything ive read on the internet that the wii's highest output is 480p but would it look any differant if it was hooked up component through an upconverting receiver... like the 805?

Receiver upscalling

I don't think you will see a major benefit with the Wii, the HDTV will scale the incomming signal to its native resolution (720p, 1080p, etc.). The 805 in perticular has limited upscaling capabilities. Some high end receiver like the 875 have a higher end Reon video scaler but it still cant make SD material look as good as native HD.
