Receiver to DVR issues

I have a Denon receiver and a Motorola DCH6416 DVR. I screwed something up, and now I don't have audio or video on my TV. I am trying to start over. I need to know which device I pick, as there is nothing that says "DVR" there is only cable, something called PVR and sattelite. When it was set up originally, the guy said to wacth TV press SAT/CBL button. Nothing there......
So, what do I pick under the menu - cable, PVR or something else? Also, I need some sort of source code for the Motorola DCH6416 and can't find that anywhere. HELP!!!

I'd normally say to locate the A/V receiver manual - but this is a Denon and I might as well ask you to read an encyclopedia written in Swahili. What you need to do is simply pull out the receiver a bit and get a good handle on your connections. You need to know where the Motorola is plugged into, then you need to select that input. After that, you need to select the proper matching audio for that input.

Just go through this process and visually verify every input so you know what you're looking for. Use a small mirror and a flashlight if you can't get the receiver out of where it's at.

Which model of Denon did you get? Other than the cable box, what else are you hooking up?

Maybe we can give you recommendations on how best to connect everything.
