Receiver to display OSD advice

Hi folks; I need help on how to setup my receiver on screen display to show up on my TV display. I"ll be using the pio VSX-82 elite with the pio 6070 plasma (on back order), reading the 82 manual it"s not clear to me how one is to start the on screen display function to your TV, most everything else on the setup proceedures I can pretty much grasp, but this one little startup hookup is eluding me. I"m using HDMI on all my sources but I assume for the receiver OSD function I would be using a S- video hookup???> I just do not know what out on the receiver would be outputing the OSD signal, I need to see the screen for the auto set up, any help would be appreciated.

Yes, you will need to hook up the s-video, or composite video (it will say monitor out).
As soon as you press the button for auto set-up (system set-up), it will send the signal to the screen.
Yes, it's that easy....

Just make sure your screen is set to aux(1,2).

(EDIT) Also, I just briefed through your manual - I had thought you may be able to do OSD with the HDMI.
But from all indications, it will require (monitor out hookup) s-video or composite.
As well, it is the same as my Pio.
Just hit the remote control button (setup) and will send the signal.

Hope that helps.. It is really easy actually..

Granted, you can do auto-setup without even using the OSD.
But it does make it easier (for fine tuning adjustments)
