I purchased a Pioneer VSX-5600 A/V receiver for a cool $12.99 at Goodwill recently!!! What a price! And it works excellent! Man, I just LOVE this receiver! I have never, ever seen a receiver with as many hook-ups in the back of it! I'm sure that if I wanted to, I could plug in the kitchen sink, refridgerater, and microwave and still have room to plug in more! (joking):)

Okay, to the question I have: I'm wondering if anyone out there has this same receiver and might have an owner's manual. If so, could you scan and e-mail me a copy of the specs page? (Power Output, etc.) That would be so cool. My e-mail address is: prostreet55chevy@yahoo.com

Or at least tell me this info. Right now I'm only running it in 2-channel stereo, but with some awesome speakers.

Thanks for any help or input.

You could try: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com. Unlike just about every other receiver manufacturer, you have to register to be able to download manuals but getting a manual straight from the source is probably your best bet.

Hmmm...I have a VSX-5700S I think. It's about 15 years old. I wonder what the difference was? I still have the manual to it.

Regarding the VSX-5700S...

I found a site that sells manuals, and when I scroll down to VSX-5600, it says "refer to VSX-5700S", so I'm assuming that it's just a newer replacement model with basically the same specs. If you have the original manual, that's so cool. I'd really appreciate if you could just let me know the power specs: wpc in 2 channel, 4 channel, etc.

Thanks so much for any help you can offer me!

I think it was rated at 105 watts/channel, but I don't know if they qualified that with a frequency range or distortion level or anything. I'll try to dig out the manual tonight and will post any details it has.

OK, I dug out the manual. It says it is for the VSX-5700S and VSX-5600, and it also says "The functions of both units, VSX-5600 and VSX-5700S are identical".

The section on remotes shows a different remote for the two models; maybe that's the only difference.
