Hey everyone, this is a great site with lots of good information here, your postings are a lot of help for what I am looking for, so thanks. I am currenty in the market for a good receiver to compliment my Samsung 50" DLP tv that I bought a couple of months ago. I am trying to keep my price range under $1000. Now I have been doing my homework on this, and I know a bunch of the features that I want. I am looking for a 7.1 system. I would like a system with video up-conversion to component video, because I am not looking to put more money into a high def receiver at the moment. I would like a THX certification, but it is not a requirement. I have mainly been looking at Denon and Yamaha receivers, and I really like the Yamaha RXV1400, HTR-5760, and HTR-5790, as well as the Denon AVR-2805, and AVR-2803. Right now I am kind of leaning towards the RXV1400, but woud like some feedback on easy of use/quality of some of these if anyone would like to share. I am also wondering if anyone has had any luck with buying online compared to brick and mortar stores, for example the RXV1400 is around $600 online but retail is around $750.

Thanks in advance.

PS- on a separate note, I would also like to run a couple of speakers from this receiver outside on a porch, is this possible or do i need to be looking at another solution for this? I keep reading about zones and stuff but have not had that explained anywhere so I am confused.

PPS- One last thing, I really want to run music from my computer to the receiver, anyone know of a way I can do this wirelessly? (off of my home wireless network) If not then I am just going to have to build me a HTPC and put the music on that.

Thanks Again
