Ok so i currently have 2 polk t50 for fronts and a cs10 for center with tsi200s for rears

Its hooked up to a sony str-ks370, it has 3 hdmis and with lpcm i can get hd sound through my ps4, seems to have decent power, says 167 watts per channel but dont know if thats max or rms, but its got its own dedicated sub which makes upgrading difficult
Now i have access to a pioneer vsx-d409 whish has 100 watts rms per channel and a s-w20 sub, upgrading that would be a snap but no hdmis. Does have an optical input for dd and dts but no hd sound

2 questions, what do u guys think of my setup? And which receiver should i use?

Input much appreciated!
Thanx

How do you have the Polk speakers hooked up to this!

Don't get hung up on power numbers. If the setup loud enough and is currently meeting the need, let things be. That said, your Sony receiver and sub are easily the weak link. The Pioneer is not worth the hassle either. Further, by connecting to it via optical, all benefits of HD Audio are lost.

You'll need to first get a receiver with subwoofer out. Get a Denon S510 receiver for $150. You'll be ditching the Sony sub, but I reckon you'll not miss it much. Just run the L, R full range for a bit.

Eventually adding a Monoprice 12" sub for about $100 will be a huge step in improving your bass.

The speakers r hooked up with the original speakerwires that came with the receiver
I know id lose hd audio but the only way i get that is with blu rays which i dont watch often, usually just stream and what not which only has 5.1 dd anyways
The pioneer does have a sub out, and a pioneer s-w20 sub
