Receiver help - specific requirements

Alcoholics,

Currently I have a Yamaha RX-V871 receiver which I seem to be having HDCP handshake issues with. I'm ready to call it quits with this receiver and get something else that has comparable features.

My main requirements are:

- Dual HDMI output. I have one hdmi output going to a 75' run to my main TV with surround sound (zone 1) and I have the second hdmi output going to a 1x4 hdmi splitter that splits to 4 other TVs. My preference is two hdmi outputs with independent decoders/encoders so I can have different inputs used for each output concurrently, but if they have to output the same source that is OK.

- Multi Zone - at least 2 zones
- zone1 should be able to play at least 5.1 surround from a digital source while zone2 is playing an analog source
- yamaha 'party mode' or equivalent: if zone1 is outputting a digital source then zone2 can output the audio of that digital source

Currently I have my zone2 ouput to a RussSound 1x6 speaker splittler that goes to 6 other speaker locations (backyard, kitchen, etc).

I need at least 6 hdmi inputs. I need pandora and/or spotify and I need to be able to play pandora/spotify in zone2 while someone is watching something in zone1).

I need hdmi standby passthrough so my receiver doesnt have to be turned on for zone1 to get a video signal. Ideally, I would like to be able to change the source even when the receiver is in standby (the yamaha rx-v871 does this).

I need to be able to control the receiver from a web site and/or iphone app.

I need 'volume reset' or some mechanism so that when i turn the receiver on it sets the volume to a default level. Sometimes my kids turn the volume up too loud and leave it.

My budget is up to $900. I don't care about 3D or most other features I left out.

Thanks guys!

A very needy guy,
ryan

check out accessories4less.com they have some nice deals on refurbed stuff, I have had good luck with them...

With that kind of budget, I would be looking at marantz, denon, or pioneer elite..
