Seriously, I have no life.
COMCAST is doing away with the "in set" TV turner. so i had to get 2 of these, free.

one is for the dinning room 32".
i am wanting to put the other on my projector. but, this box only has a coax out. the receiver doesn't have a coax in. well, there is one labled coax, but is a RCA plug.

do i have any options on getting this working ?

thanx
You need a cable box with an HDMI out. Those RGB connections are a very low grade connection and a receiver would not be expected to have them.

You get no bread with one meat ball.

You get what you pay for. That cable box is free with Comcast basic cable. You have to connect it to the antenna "F" connector on the back of your TV and use channel 3 or 4. Forget about going through the receiver. Considering that 's RF only, it doesn't work too bad. Dunno if it passes HD, though.

If you want the better outputs you'll have to spring for a more expensive package from Comcast.

Actually, that's not a RGB (Red/Green/Blue component), connection. That would be three RCA jacks, generally in the respective colors, and would be ideal for your situation. We have a Comcast/Mototola HD box that uses RGB component connections and it outputs 1080i quite clearly.

Check with Comcast, I received 2-DTAs AND a STB at no extra charge, if that works for your setup. I believe it has both (coax/optical) digital audio outputs.

thanx guys. i was hopin for an adapter or something. but i knew inside that there is nothing. oh-well, no biggy. its just for the projector, and would hardly ever be used anyway.

my comcast bill is $200 a month  i don't want it going any higher.

but, on a somewhat related note. i am checking into selling my condo, and getting a house. that should make it easier to get less costly tv/internet/phone. then i can get that extra box.

AND BIGGER SUBS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HaHaHaHaHa ........
