Receiver for B&W 685 Theatre

Guys,

I can get a great deal on a B&W 685 Theatre system. I have auditioned the speakers and love them. I had planned to use them with a Denon 2310ci (or 3310ci If I can save enough money), but I can get a sweet deal on a Harman Kardon 354. I understand that this receiver is now discontinued, but it may be a good opportunity.

The price I can get for the 354 is US$600, which for Mexico (where I'm from) is a great deal.

Do your think the HK 354 can get the best out of the B&W's for a price range between US$800 and US$1100. Should I save up and spend more?

More is always better.
Get what you can afford.
I have not researched your options listed, but a good thing to do is pick the receiver that has all the connections and features you need.
Play with the remotes of each to see what you like.
Make sure the receiver has pre-outs so you can add more power later.
Invest your next money into a quality power amp on down the road.
Upgrade your receiver, or pre-amp, as needed.
The power amp can stay with your system as it grows.

Thanks. I took the deal and got a good price. The HK does have the possibility for Pre-outs.
