hi
I want to buy one good receiver in USA and will be taking that back to India (230V 50HZ). Please let me know what and where I can buy decent receiver.
The configuration I am thinking of Mirage nanosat MX 5.1
Receiver not yet decided.

Else I have to buy Bose V 20 because it will support voltage in India if I change the Power module...........

Thanks in Advance for Help...

Hi Joy,

initially, welcome to the forum :)

Your best bet, IMO, is to use a step-down converter (believe you can find it easily in your country), rather than getting a 220V AVR is the US.

You may find some stores selling 220V indeed, but it's not usual and for sure you'll pay a lot more than a standard 120V AVR.

I remember there was a store up in Chicago area selling these, but I forgot their site though... Gimme some time and I'll revert to you asap, ok?

There you go: www.world-import.com

HI avliner
Thanks for your response. I dont want to use the transformer available in India. I have not yet got any good review or site in India where I can buy a trusted transformer. I have seen couple of stores in USA who sells dual voltage receiver. I dont know how reliable is the product available there.
Do you have any idea about the quality of the product available at
world-import.com ??

Thanks in Advance

They're good to deal with, and if you're buying a well trusted AVR brand (such as Denon, Yammi, etc..), you'll be fine though.

How's that you just can't find a trusty step-down converter in India??
It's not rocket science, btw ;)
