Sorry if this question has been covered before. Is there a possibility of damage to the internal amplifier when using a receiver as a pre/pro with no speaker load on its amplifier?

Can't see how it could damage it if its not in use.

It also common for users to use an external amp only for the front channels. This leaves additional receiver amp headroom for powering the surround and center channels.
