Receiver Advice Needed!

I'm looking at purchasing the JBL SCS140 5.1 speaker system (spec below), but being a newbie to all this, haven't really got a clue about what receiver I need to hook up to it. I'd like to get good sound not only for movies, but equally for playing music too. I'd also like a digital optical input on the receiver too for hooking up a computer which has digital optical out to the receiver in future. Any recommendations or advice? Thanks.

How much do you want to spend? You might consider the Yamaha HTR-5930.

Looks great but again, unfortunately I can't seem to find this product (or a price for it) when searching in the UK.

As for how much I'm looking to spend, it would be the minimum amount possible at the moment, but at the same time I don't want a crappy amp/receiver, so the minimum amount possible to get something that does its job properly.

Thanks for the suggestions. Will they all work ok with the 4 ohm nominal impedance speakers and the recommended amplifier power of 10/50 Watts RMS per channel? Like I said, I'm very new to all this!

These receivers provide more than enough power for those speakers. The 4 ohm load may be an issue. If possible, I would prefer speakers rated at 8 ohms when using a receiver. Most receivers don't handle 4 ohm loads very well. I should have mentioned this sooner.

I have the scs150, it has dual 3" drivers but it is only rated at 8ohms. hmmm
but notice mine is rated 8ohms 100w. yours 4 ohms 50w.

maybe its some sort of UK standard.
