Rear Surround Speakers mixed with other speakers

I have set up a theater in my "man cave". It is currently a 7.1.4 setting. I use my Yamaha Aventage RX-A3070 AVR for the front, center, surround, surround back speakers. The front speakers are Klipsch Forte II that sound really good. I got them from an insurance sale for $50. I got a JBL E250P at another insurance sale for another $50. My center speaker is a Yamaha that I picked up at a thrift store that a friend of my manages it for his church, for $10. I bought a pair of JBL L-110 speakers for my surround R/L channels. A while back a bought a Polk 5.1 speaker package. I use 2 of the speakers for my Surround Back. That gave me a 7.1 setup. I bought the Yamaha Aventage RX-A3010 AVR six years earlier. I use it for what Yamaha calls them "Presence". I bought some nice Polk In-Wall speakers from the Front R/L Presence channels and the Rear R/L Presence channels. (I also bought the Yamaha Aventage RX-A3050, which I use in the TV room for a 3.1 system, which is all my wife let me set up. I use the Polk Subwoofer, center, and front R/L for that room. Most of the time, she doesn't want the subwoofer on. NOW for the reason of this entry... The Polk speakers that came with the 5.1 package, aren't really enough to drive the Dolby Atmos or DTS:X channels. I've had to set them up to 8 out of 10, while my other speakers are 5. My AVR's can drive about any speakers out there, so I need some good speakers that will give better sound. What I need is a pair of speakers (the best for the money) for under $500. Is there such an animal? Or, am I spitting in the wind. I look forward to your advice.

You seem to know the value of $ - for TV/HT the Elac debut 2.0 (especially the 5.2 on sale) have good sound quality for the $ or Emotiva B1, C1.

What does you set them up for 8 out of 10 mean? 5?

I don't know my Sony models, but there has been talk about some very good Sony speakers at a great cost. Perhaps somebody else can chime in with the Model??? :)

I think it's the Sony Core series that's gotten a fair amount of praise for being a good speaker value.
