Hello I am new to this fourm and home theater. I curently own a HTIB and am going to upgrade to a Klipsch RB-51 Home theater system. My problem is the position of the rear speakers. Do they need to be mounted on a wall to the side or can I put them on stands? The rear speakers are RS-41 II.

You can certainly put them on stands.

Thanks man I wasn't sure if they needed to be on wall or not. I dont have wall on the right side of couch so the other option I reserched was mounting on back wall 5' up. My living room is 12.5 by 12.5 and 8ft high with neighbors up stairs. The reason I say that is when a speaker is mounted on wall will sound travel through the wall. Thanks your awesome:)

Stands should do...
