rear speaker mounting on wall?

is there any rear speaker mounts for the wall that you can swivel the speaker, so you can adjust the angle for the best/sound liking?

this would be for the paradigm adp-190, or the adp-390, both are very heavy.

You may want to take the time to post a layout of your room....

ADP's are non directional speakers that are intended to smear sound around a room... so as to be less easy to locate them.

They are Di-Pole speakers.... with drivers on each side of the cabinet, and the bracket comes with the speaker... they are not that heavy, 2 screws are used to hold up the much heavier ADP-590's which I have.

If you are setting up a 5.1 HT setup, surround speakers are meant for the sides, unless your are intending a 7.1 and your looking to put rear surround speakers on the back wall behind you... personally I prefer direct radiating speakers for rears... most people go this route for layout, as it tends to sound a bit better.

btw, I had my 50" plasma parked on top of my CC-690 for a couple years.

The Sanus WMS2 will hold up to 15 pounds speakers. the 190's are 8 lbs and the 390's are 13lbs

You don't angle bipole/dipole speakers for "optimum" sound. They are designed to be mounted right against the wall or in a corner.

Nice Kinkade. Canvas?

Sorry, I didn't see a speaker in the picture to comment on and had to say something...and I don't have any mounting ideas.

Hey, maybe the 30.0 WB on the page Wayne posted?
Ok, I feel better now.

thanks for the compliment on the kinkade, yea its real was a gift from my parents since they didn't want to hang it on there wall cause they all smoke. lol

"no idea why they bought it lol"

looks like what wayne posted would work, but looks like i would have to get the adp-190's as the 390's would be took big and couldn't rotate them all the way.

Its holding my PSB Image 1Bs for a reference of size and weight and this without mounting them to a stud.

There a few of us Audioholcis who have them and really like them

where do you plan to mount the speakers ? i expect on the back wall. that is where i would put them. but, with your room/placement issues, i would use monopoles.

Is there a wall on the side where you are standing? If so, it appears you have walls that are inline with your seating position which would work for side mounting. If you haven't bought the speakers yet, think about going with Atoms or Titans.

looking into the picture, its showing the rear, were i'm standing is the wall the tv is on.

problem is the left side has no side wall. paradigm adp-190 and adp-390 are supposed to be mounted on the side wall. left side has no side wall. but looks like some of these brackets may work for the adp-190

that is exactly what i had assumed.

mount em to that back wall. 1 just left of that painting, and the other just a lil to the "left of center" of that dining room opening. about 1' down from ceiling . and be ready to turn the volumn way up.

but isn't the speakers only supposed to be 2 feet above ear level? that would be about 4 feet.

how do you think your idea would sound? speakers are made to be on side walls, so wondering how your idea would sound?

help much appreciated.

i have my rears right up next to the ceiling, over a slidding patio door, tilted down aiming right at me. and my sides are about 5'. all are measured the same distance from my head. it sounds just fine. are there a better sounding positions ? perhaps, but i think it would be close to nit picking. and everyone has to place there gear where it will fit in the room they have. most of which are not optimal. in your case, you don't have 2 side walls. so you gotta make due. if you get good size bookshelf speakers, put em here i say, i think you would be plenty happy with the sound. and they would be out of the way. for all but the most critical, rear/side placement has a good deal of flexibility.
