Really Tiny dent in infinity Beta C250 tweeter

Today I decided to remove the grills from my speakers to see how they looked without them. I've had these speakers for several months now but this is the first time I've removed the grills.

When I took the grill off the center I noticed a very small circular dent about the size of a pen-head in the tweeter?

Will this have an audible effects that I will be able to hear. What can be done to repair something this small?

Since you never noticed anything with the grilles on I doubt there is any audible effect and is purely cosmetic. Can you take a picture of the dent anyways?

I've seen quite a few of the Infinity in-walls at Fry's w/ dents in the tweeters.

I have seen a dent removed with a vacuum cleaner, I would be hesitant to use this method, I have also seen someone take the tweeter out, take a Q-tip and rub it out from the back side. It would drive me crazy having it there but I doubt you could tell a difference.

A dent? That seems strange. Especially since the grill has been on them.

It won't effect sound.

Problem with trying to remove the dent is that this probably uses the ceramic sandwhich tweeter. If this is a MMD or CMMD driver, it has ceramic layer on the front and back of an aluminum core. The ceramic will probably become further damaged if you try to pull the dent out - but I could be wrong - as I have never tried to repair one of these fragile tweeters. Good luck.

Good point, I probably should not have assumed something I knew nothing about.

As you might imagine there are dozens of threads at various audio sites on this. You can read them if you want, but bottom line what you want to do is put the grilles back on and put it out of your mind. You won't hear it.
