The plywood is 3/4" thick - Do you think the bracing is really necessary? If so, can you provide me with a better idea of what you're suggesting?
The panels will be hung on the wall, 3 behind the L/C/R speakers and 3 at first reflection points on the rear wall.
I had the plywood ripped to 4.5" so that there would be a little room left by the 4" thick 703 for mounting hardware and anything else I might need back there, so there would be approx. 0.5" of "space" between the 703 and the wall if I don't put a backing on it - Will this be helpful from an acoustics perspective?
The 703 is still packages so I don't know exactly how rigid is is - Are you saying it's rigid enough that no addt'l backing is necessary?
