RCA preout splitting

This is probably pretty basic......... My preamp only has one set of full range preouts and I want to run four amps. Does a splitter divide or degrade the signal? Is a distribution amp a bad idea? The preamp is an Anthem TLP-1, the specs give rated output as 1.0Vrms into a 100Kohm load, and maximum output as 3.3Vrms. The amps are Samson Servo 120, they need 4dbu minimum signal to produce full power. The amps will be bridged and will need only one input cable. So I need to split each channel only once. (so far) Is there a book that explains this (and more) without burying you in technical digressions?

Yer basic, not necessarially fancy, "Y" connector should do nicely and quite inexpensively. I've done this from a NAD 1600 to a powered sub and a power amp. Never heard nor had a problem.
