RCA pre-amp out to XLR amplifier inputs?

Can I use a 2-channel amplifier that has XLR inputs with a receiver that has regular RCA style pre-amp outs?

Yes, but you may have a grounding issue on some XLR-to-RCA cables, so if that happens realize that you'll need to do a different pinout to make it work. Nothing that can't be overcome.
