Has anyone heard of these speakers yet (RBH 1266SER)? I decided to move my 61's to the rear, and add the 1266's to the front. My dealer called me and said they mistakenly shipped this new model, the 1266-SER's. He said they were extremely heavy!! I called RBH and they said they are the 1266's with Status Acoustics hardware inside(similiar to the models they did last year with Status Acoustics, I think they were TSH?), for only a few hundred dollars more, it appears to be a great deal. BUT, I am a little reluctant to purchase somthing I have never heard. He said I can bring them home and try them out (of course I will!), but I was just wondering if anyone has ever heard them, or heard of them?? Thanks for all your help.

I had the prototype 1266-SER in my reference system for 4 years prior to upgrading to the T-2 System. In one word, Phenominal! I originally proposed that RBH upgrade the standard Signature series product with Status drivers since the form factor of the two products were identical. They took my advice, built me prototypes and have since then been offering this as an option to consumers.

The Status Driver upgrades really open up the speakers, and increases dynamic range. If its only costing you a few hundred for the upgrade, run to the dealer and get them!

Thanks!

I will be picking them up Tuesday morning. Why are they not advertised anywhere?

They only offer this option in limited production to select dealers. RBH doesn't really have a big marketing budget unfortunately so very few people realize the value that they offer.
