Looking at getting a center channel to match the T2's I purchased a while back now.

Anybody familiar with using a T-1/R vs 6100 SE/R as a center? Pros/Cons with using either of the two? Aside from a T-1 would match the L/R.

I think the 6100 would be easier to place under a tv/screen being that it's not nearly as tall as a T-1 laying on its side.

The T1 is the better choice but if the 6100 is a better fit, go with it. It's still a great center channel that provides broad coverage for a wide listening area.

Why would you say the T1 is a better choice over the 6100? Is there anything specific that makes it better?

The tweeter array of the T1 is more closely spaced so it will acoustically sum at a closer distance than the 6100. Both have similar output capabilities however. You can also check with RBH on what they recommend. I've heard the 6100 in many demos and it was great from chairs as little as 8ft away from it.

Talking with RBH, the main difference they told me about was that the 6100 will have a wider sweet spot as compared to the T-1.

So, similar to what you're saying. Basically the T-1 would be better if my room is smaller/shorter front to back while the 6100 would benefit from a longer room front to back. Correct?
