For those of you who are old school and have a turntable, or at least know what an album is, what is the best or rarest bootleg album that you've ever acquired. Although I have several, mine is:

Jimi Hendix's Nine to the Universe

A bluesy/r&b/jazz/rock/fusion album that is rare by all accounts.

Beethoven's 10th symphony. I have it on a mini-CD, but ti doesn't play on any known CD player.

For some unbeknownst reason, I wouldn't ever guess that a poster named rock&rollninja would listen to Beethoven, let alone be interested in his "Tenth Symphony." But I am not the presumptuous type. An irony, wrapped in a conundrum, masked in deception. Back on track. Best bootleg albums...

What do you mean mini CD? You mean a 3 1/2"?

I have searched in vain for this recording since hearing it on LSD one night in college many, many years ago. ;) I did have a cassette copy from the vinyl at one time. But is it really considered a bootleg? I thought it was legitimately released.

Thank you, and no. Good heads up, though. It was actually officially released (Warner, 1980). I term it "bootleg" because of it's rarity. I've actually had it now for 26 years, and have had it mastered onto a couple of cd's for regular listening. It is my most relished album.

Hmmmm. Interesting. I didn't even realize it was ever released on CD, but the All-Music Guide lists it as a CD too.
