Have anybody heard the Radiient speakers. Anybody? I went to their site and looked at their products. They look like they are well made and inexpensive.

What makes you say they are well made? As far as we can tell they could be white van speakers. They appear to sell on eBay, have no pro reviews and they have very few useful specs on the website.

I can understand your displeasure with someone possibly spamming free advertising on the site, but I'm not sure why you think they're white van speakers. I agree that the info provided is sparse, but the site and speakers do not appear to me to be the usual white van fare. There are what appear to be a legitimate company history, owners, legitimate company addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, etc..

Perhaps I'm the next sucker.

(There's a link to this site in the "Wanna Know More?" section of their support page, btw.)

They claim to have to Co-inventor of HDMI on their team

According to a press release from December 2005http://pdfserver.prweb.com/pdfdownload/325343/pr.pdf they are a California based startup company. They claim their President is the co-inventor of HDMI, and that they have a team from a wide variety of Silicon Valley companies. They also claim they will be launching the major part of their line at CES in 2007.

I can't comment on their quality but if it's a whitebox company they are going to an awful lot of trouble to try and look good. IMHO they are either a real startup, or trying to look good to raise $$$ for a pump and dump. Take your pick!

Additional Note: Looks more like a real startup. They are members of the CEA and listed on the official website. http://www.ce.org/Membership/Directory/MemberDetail.aspx?id=000011027131

I would like to clear some of the things that have been said in this thread. First of all I'm not a spammer. I don't work for anybody and I don't care who's doing what.
As far as my concern with Radiient speakers, Clint, I don't know for sure if they are some kind of white van speakers.

You know something Clint? the funny thing is that on their website they list Audioholics as a great site for audio resources and info. they have an 800 number with live rep ( I talked to one). He said they've been in business since July 2005, their product have 30 days money back guarantee. He also said that their speakers are in the process of being reviewed by a reputable site or audio magazine. He will e-mail me the reviews. And no i'm not a spammer...I will keep everyone updated.

thats good to hear i was soo close to getting them tooday..bUt herd some KEfs and yea read my other post

Companies that sell their speakers on eBay generally net a 'red flag' in our experience. Typically that signals white van level products - though perhaps not in this case based on some of the input we're getting from the two of you.

We'll hang back and see how they progress. If they are truly just a startup - that's fantastic. Competition is generally a good thing.

i dont know what anybody else considers good build quality but i sure dont think the radiient speakers appear to be well built:(

i wouldnt clasify any 4 ft tall floor stander that weighs in at 38 pounds to be well built,my favorite part of the review was where the reviewer described how he had to wrestle a 38 lb speaker like it wore him out.:D

looks like the white van specials to me.

I also started a thread a couple days eaarlier asking about these speakers. Only 1 person answered:D I must have the record for the most posts with least amount of responses. :)

They look decent and the company has a professional web page. If they could send some here to be reviewed, that would be great.

IMO, I don't think they are white van speakers, I didn't find them on EBay, I just saw their website one day searching for speakers, and no I'm not affiliated with them in anyway.

Quoting only part of the sentence changes the meaning of the sentence. I understand your misinterpretation of my post. Yes there is an EBay store, but they also have a Manufacturers web page, which is how I found out about them, not through Ebay. Yeah they may be a white van speaker, but then again they may not.

I saw them and posted if anyone heard of them. Maybe ask them to send you a set for review. They might throw in a little sponsorship for the forum.:D

I inquired about those speakers because i was in for an upgrade (already). At that time( a week and a half ago) i didn't want to spend much money. But then i don't need them anymore as I already ordered the Axiom Epic 80 with the EP600 sub (we'll see how they sound in my environment). As for the review that the Radiient rep was telling me about, it was not really a convincing one though. I think someone posted a link to that review above. I'm pretty sure they are not a white van speakers company but a legitimate start-up with some good credentilas such as their so called renowned founders. I don't think that any company outhere would make such a claim about their founders if it were not true at all. That would simply expose them to any kind of liabilities. My true take on them is wait and see...for their next line of speakers, I've been told by the Radiient rep that they will have a full line of speakers by next year. For now I pass...And if the Axiom do not satisfy me when thay get here then I'll always have options.

I hate when that happens. You're right, I read your sentence with a different inflection to mean that you attempted to find them on eBay but couldn't. You were merely stating how you found them. Sorry about that.

It's likely that we'll be contacted by them or give them a note later this year for a review.

Cool. I'm sure everyone here would like to read that and hear the AH take, especially since they are apparently very new on the block. As you stated earlier, competition is good. If it turns out that they sell a quality product, all the better for everyone here.
