Rack systems for that professional home cinema look!

Well I’ve been looking round for affordable rack systems to house the home cinema equipment and after 30 minutes looking around looks like I’ve found one that will suit the needs. Mind you I’m going to need a few of these as I’ve got some x10 Alesis RA300 and one Alesis RA500 planed to power the home cinema. Also the DCX2496 needs to be housed and the rest laserdisc DVD AVR and other Dolby processors.

I’ve looked at the Millennium SR-Series SR-2024 but the company that is selling it is based over in Europe, and I don’t fancy phoning Europe. So after looking around again I looked at Digital Village and found the Samson SRK21 priced at £84.99 pounds and that’s well worth the look of excellence.

A nice rack will do a lot for you since you have so much equipment. I think you have more stuff than a small recording studio. :)

Is all of your equipment rack mountable?

LOL, yeah and to think I’ve seen a small recording studio many years ago at the “Knighton Heath music college” yeah that was small but neat looking and sounding room.;)

So racks are the finishing touch on how the equipment is presented and it doesn’t need to be costly, I know these racks can go way up to well over £500.00 pounds.

A few years back I was helping my father remove some office equipment that was going to be thrown out, and we needed it for the language school. And what did I see in this office a fine looking rack system with glass panel door and lock! I asked one of the guys to keep hold of it and I’ll pick it up in the morning!

BUGGER! Some bugger took it, well like I said in the other thread, finders’ keepers. The rack stood about just over 6 feet and would have cost around £800.00 pounds!

So looks like this Samson SRK21 would be spot on. Have you seen the price of Hi-Fi racks good Blimey some cost a bomb, and there nowhere near to what I need to accommodate all this equipment!

I need to see if I can find these here in the states as it appears to fit the bill for my HT project.

Thanks for the note!

What about the accessories

The Samson rack looks like a great value and it is easy to come by but what about rails and shelves and things. Samson does not seem to have any of these. Much of my current gear is not rack ready.
