Quit throwing crap in my yard!

I guess I'm turning into an old curmudgeon, but I am aggravated that I get advertisements in a plastic bag tossed in my yard about 3 times a week.

Is there an established way to get these guys to stop?

(though I am happy it is not dog crap like Adam gets!)

I had to thank you for the amazing memory. :D

See if you can get the police to charge them with littering. :)

Yeah, every time I drive by a road sign stating the fine for littering, I think of these guys. Sneaky ba$tards must do it at 3:45AM because I never see them!
Maybe ImcLoud will lend me his video surveillance system.

Earlier this month, Niki and I were almost home, and I saw this old couple driving slowly and tossing out ads. Probably the same thing here - some paper in a plastic baggie with a rock or two inside to weight it down. I almost just walked behind them and picked them up as they threw them out, but (a) I was too lazy and (b) I cut them some slack because of their age.

I understand your frustration, but I actually look forward to receiving my weekly batch of flyers. Most of them are cr@p, but there are some that I like to check out. I make a weekly menu for our meals and if there's something on sale at the grocery store, I can incorporate it into the menu. Then there's the home improvement and electronics store flyers. Mmmmm, hardware.....:)

You might be able to contact the publisher and ask to be removed from the delivery list. I wouldn't blame the delivery people, as I'm pretty sure that if they could find alternative employment, they certainly would.

At least here - there's the weekly flyer (well, twice a week now) that the newspaper puts out to those of us who don't buy the paper that includes ads from the grocery stores and hardware stores, but I think Kurt is talking about the random sprinkling of ads that get thrown onto driveways and yards by independent companies. I only get those about once a month, and I'm not sure if they are ever from the same place. For example, it might be for a housekeeping service that somebody is trying to get going. We also get ads in the mail at least once a week. What a waste of resources. (Rant...engaged.)

Amazon.com: Night Owl Security ZEUS-810 16-Channel 8-Camera H.264 DVR Surveillance Kit with D1 Recording and HDMI Output: Camera & Photo these have come down i price so much, HDMI outs so you can watch them in HD :)

Don't forget the clothing section. When the well is dry and internet is down it can get you through that hard time.

I have done some Google searches and it looks like this has been a complaint for many years, but there seems to be no good solution. People who complained were told they were put on a "do not deliver" list, but they never quit receiving the advertisements. As an ex-paperboy, I'm sure these delivery people have a very long route and attempting to keep up with who does and doesn't get it just ain't gonna happen.

I hate when you don't get them in time and it gets buried in the snow. Then you hit it with the snowblower and shear some auger pins...

In the summer, I will either pick them up or turn them into confetti with the mower. I don't have any fence and the wind blows pretty good through the neighborhood so the confetti usually blows away within 48 hours. Thankfully, we don't seem to get as many as you guys.

But after the accident with the school bus, I got TONS of mailings from lawyers. Like I'm going to go with a lawyer that trolls for business that way...

As for Adam and dog doo... I don't mind that in the driveway in winter as the snowblower makes quick work of it. If you've never done it, try it. It's quite entertaining.

Wait out there for them to drive by and throw them back. I solved my problem with them doing that too: I moved :)
