Quick static pop on audio pause through HDMI...

So I got a new video card and hooked it up to my 32" Ensignia LCD via HDMI. Fixed the overscan settings and got everything running the way I wanted. Nothing goes according to plan, I suppose.

When playing audio via anything (Browser, Winamp, MPC) I get a very fast burst of static when pausing it. It's not a big deal, but it's somewhat obnoxious and I was hoping that someone has experienced this problem and fixed it.

The card happens to be a Radeon R4550 from MSI if it helps. This may or may not be the correct forum/website to ask this question as one may assume it's related to the video card, but poking around Google I saw others that experienced similar problems with HDTV over HDMI.

Thanks in advance for any help,

If you try just digital or analog out and still get it, its a ground issue more than likely. What is the computer pluged into? TV?

Yes, the computer is plugged in to my TV. I'm not sure what you mean by testing for digital/analog. I can say however that running a VGA input alongside 3.5mm audio-in doesn't cause this problem, it's only when sending audio/video over HDMI out from the card.
