I just built the popular youtube coat hanger bow tie antenna to use for my new tv tuner in my pc when i go away to college in a few weeks. Where i am now, a store bought antenna that my brother loaned me wasnt able to pick up anything. But the home brew one was able to hit a pbs station 13.9 miles away at 70-80% and thats all it can get. (note i do live in a fringe area that is EXTREMELY hilly, more precisely in a valley). At School i will live in the dorms about 3 stories up. my room faces north and mounting outside isn't possible.

Here is the antenna web result for my location at school ...

so in short i want to know realistickly if i have a chance of picking up good quality DTV signals in my concrete box room or if im wasting my time tweaking this thing. I have my doubts since the only signal i can pull in here at home is 13.9 miles away. but i am in a valley and i am facing west.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.
