Just wanted to drop a note to let you know a little about me. I've read here for years but just never joined. I'm constantly on over at AVS (not sure if that's a bad word here or not ;) ) I live in the St. Louis metro area.

I'm a Systems Architect and Database designer for a large computer company. I do some room design and acoustical analysis on the side to help feed my hobby. I've been into this hobby for a LOOOONNNNGGG time. Managed a stereo shop for 4 years, built my first speakers @ 14, etc.

I'm married and have a very understanding spouse. The last time WAF came into the equation was when I wanted to rip out the main steel beam under my main floor to get rid of a pole. That didn't happen. Oh well.

My system:

Video:
NEC XG135 CRT
Stewart 92" 1.85:1 Screen
Key Digital HD Leeza
Key Digital Flash Matrix 8x3 switcher
SDI Modded Panny RP series DVD player
Panasonic HD OTA tuner
Terk Antenna

Audio:
Theta Casanova Processor
Sunfire Cinema Grand (just using LCR right now)
Parasound 1201THX monos for surrounds
Crown MicroTech 1200 running parallel mono for sub
Symmetrix 551E Parametric EQ for sub
Dynaudio Contour 3.3's for L and R main
Dynaudio 122C center channel
Alon Centris Surrounds
ServoDrive Contrabass Subwoofer

Cabling:
A mix of:
AVCables (GEPCO) for video
Belden 1695A for video
AVCables for sub speaker cable
Harmonic Technology Pro-9 and Pro-11 for LCR
AVCables balanced cables for proc to amp connections
Canare 4S11 for surround speakers
Wireworld Toslink Digital Interconnect
AVCables Coax Digital Interconnect

Looking forward to participating in the forums. If any of you are in the St. Louis area, we have meets occasionally and I will try to post them. Otherwise, if you just want to say hi, I'll be around.

The wife should be more tolerant. Just explain to her that the cantilever you are going to install will replace the beam and the pole. :D

Just remind WAF that a good HT is a work of the gods, WAF can be easily replaced.

Then duck.... as the surround speaker flys over your head.
