Hi everyone, i need some help on setting up my speaakers in a bi amp system. I have a hk 645 receiver and the speakers are mission 753's. What equipment do i need to bi amp those speakers? I guess i need a crossover and a poweramp? And the wire set up, would the high and mids in the speaker get wired from the receiver, and the bass get wired from the power amp? I have been doing some research, but not finding the answers that i am looking for. Any help on this topic will be greatly appreciated. Thx in advance.

Bi-amp will not make much if any difference with that gear, I am not insultiing you.....just trying to save you money but if you are dead set on this you will need wires for speaker.......wires for the signal to outboard amp from the pre out and you are going to need an amp with a gain control so you can level match them properly. I am a fan, user and believer in bi-amp within reason but I just dont see the value in your situation.

thx, i am all about saving money. Those speakers probaly won't sound alot better with bi amping? If thats the case, i will just worry about getting my good center. Thx for the heads up bro.

Passive biamplification of itself doesn't have any effect on sonics at all. In rare circumstances, the system may need more power and adding more through a second amplifier may be of benefit but such a requirement is very uncommon in a private home.

If you bi-amp with a High or low Pass filter (in horizontal) it makes big results as the amp pays no attention to the signal it doesnt need to send allowing it to breath easy and focus on what it needs to do but vertical bi amp...what many do is just more clean power which is always good but not a huge gain in overall sonic presentation.
I would whole-heartedly agree that a focus on a good center channel is foing to be a much smarter and appreciable upgrade.
