How many watts should my amplifier have if I am planning to run 6 speakers from it’s left and right outputs.

Not just wattage involved, but the impedance load of the speakers as well as what the amp is capable of. How would you wire 6 speakers to left and right channels? (or is that 12 speakers). Why do you want so many speakers playing the same info in the first place?

That’s 6 speakers in total, and I have plans for an event that would require about 6 speakers for goods sound

Good sound to me wouldn't be multiple speakers playing L/R source....YMMV. So which six speakers, and how would you wire them (series or parallel)?

I have no idea. I am asking for advice now before I actually initiate my plan. I only ordered 2 speakers so far, and I just want general advice since I am very new.

Then its not much of a plan IMO Maybe describe the event you're trying to make sound for. What speakers did you order?

I am setting up some outdoor speakers for Halloween this year. I ordered some off Craigslist because I have a small budget. I believeI ordered a pair of AudioSource LS300s.

Looking those up, pretty poor speakers in the greater sense, could make sense in some limited scenarios perhaps. Why we need to know the whole thing....application, budget, assumptions....

I have a medium sized yard, about 50ft x 30ft, and I want low level evenly distributed ambience. I plan to disguise the speakers inside of Halloween props, and I plan to only have the speakers out for about 2 weeks. I plan to have an amplifier in my garage, which is next to my yard. I have a budget of maybe $175 for the ordeal, and I plan to buy almost everything used if I can. I do not need very high fidelity, as I plan to have a looping track of an organ with witch cackles.

$175 isn't much of a budget unless perhaps the right gear shows up on craigslist at the right time in your area....that's my first thought.

Is volume an issue or just certain creepy type halloween sounds at reasonable levels?

volume is not an issue, as I would like it to be just ambient and not very loud.

Without more info I'd think a 70V distributed system would be most appropriate. You didn't order speakers with that in mind, tho. Always best to ask before you buy, unless you're already good at what choices you make and how they affect setup.

I have a question about matching amp power with speakers? I currently have the Marantz amp 10 [200wpc @8ohm) and the two floor speakers are Bowers and Wilkins 702 S3 [300w rms].
Is this amp too little, too much, or ideal??

Without knowing your particular listening levels or distance from the speakers hard to know. B&Ws often have very low impedance needs as well as some odd phase angles so a more capable amp is probably better than a lesser amp. I think your current amp is fine, tho.

Different listening levels, from sports and movies and music to pretty high levels. I'm about 9 ft from the speakers at my sweet spot. Are the speakers variable in resistance?

All speakers vary as far as impedance load vs frequency. A rating like 4/6/8 ohm is just an nominal value, need to look at measurements for better info (and many 6 or 8 ohm speakers are likely better rated as 4 ohm).
